Youth into Action

  

Youth into Action is a Youth Career website launched in 2008 specialising in youth career guidance for those aged 15-24.

 

Youth into Action's ultimate aim is to reduce youth unemployment in Australia. Youth unemployment is way too high for a country that prides its educational capabilities and vast resources.

 

It was estimated that youth unemployment in regional areas such as Wollongong NSW hit a 41% high in October 2006- and thats before the recession.

 

From a national perspective, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the youth unemployment rate among the 15-24 age group is 22.2%^

 

The dole queues are getting longer, and the burden is placed upon centrelink and the taxpayer.

 

Young people want to work, its a matter of creating exciting work opportunities, and building up young peoples skills to be employed. At the moment, demand is so high for jobs that there are often one job for every 300 applicants. In these instances, young people need a degree in marketing ones self in order to get a 2nd or third interview.
