The reason we go to school is to prepare us for life, or at least our working life. We need lots of skills. Some come from school, some don’t.

I like to use a tool box as an analogy to life. As you go along the way in life you pick up different skills and knowledge and you put them into your imaginary “Life Tool Box”.

Like an ordinary tool box there are tools you will use every day to get you through the day, but then there are tools you only need to use when something different and a little bit more intricate comes along.

This is the same case with your Life Tool Box. We need to remember that the more tools we have, the more things we can tackle in life in an easier way.

Education is the key.

Education will help you expand your knowledge to be able to respond better than the next person to these challenges.

So what is Education? Is this only what we learn at school?

The short answer is no. There is formal education and non formal education. Formal education is what you learn at school, and non formal education is what you learn outside of school.

Both which attribute to our ‘Toolbox for life’.

There are lots of millionaires in the world that have had only basic formal education.

But I guarantee they have all spent countless hours in non formal education reading about how to become successful or even done lots of training and different education as the years go by.

Feeding your brain with information is one of the most important things you can ever do.

When people are either unemployed or join a company, we are often interested in what kind of extra training we can be offered.

Training gives you more skills to get you further in life, whatever the type of education you pursue.

We never stop learning.
