5 ways to get experience whilst you study

 

It is absolutely imperative to get experience in the workforce whilst you study rather than wait until you have completed your course and be left out in the cold with no on the job experience.  All on the job experience is like gold.

One method of job hunting that I believe is being underutilised amongst young people is the traditional type of knocking on doors. In these uncertain economic times, it can really work dividends for you.

 

Failing to plan is planning to fail

 

Planning is an important task. Whilst goal setting is knowing where you are going, planning is the vehicle that you are going to take to get you there.

 

The hard thing is that with a career, there are many vehicles that you can take to get you to your destination. What the person next to you does may or may not be appropriate for you.

 

For instance, it might be your dream to work in the foreign affairs department to administer Australian foreign policy. In that particular case, do you:

As an employee, like many other young people, im constantly evaluating my career direction. Your career may take many directions throughout your lifetime.

 

Such people have performed  several searches on this site on search terms that revolve around a particular topic area that interests them.

The agriculture industry is still in high demand, with an even greater emphasis on making farms produce more effectively and efficiently than ever before.

 

In Australia especially, we have the added challenges of the elements, such as droughts, which means consultants who have an all round knowledge of farming would be well received in the marketplace.

Dont take your job for granted

 

I do have enourmous faith in my fellow Gen Y’s, that’s why I created this site.

 

However, I think we can still do better. It irks me when my fellow Gen Y’s have a perfectly well paying job, aren’t even settled into the role after one week, and then leave.

 

That’s what happened in my workplace last week.

People play video games every day. Video gaming in itself is not a secondary industry anymore; it is a very profitable industry.

 

One example of this was the 2007 release of Halo 3, which was the highest grossing video game of all time, making $194 million worth of sales in its opening day. This also surpassed the highest grossing film of all time. This gives you the idea of what is to come in the future for video gaming.
